This started with the launch of Duster by Renault in 2012 and EcoSport by Honda later. The Indian consumer loved these models and the sales were way up as expected by the companies.

• Maruti Suzuki XA Alpha
Maruti will launch its model somewhere early in 2017. They are expected to keep the price within 7 to 10 lakhs. Maruti has always designed cars for the common man and this time also this model will be a try to impress the common man, yet make him feel like a king.
• Honda Small SUV
Honda will come out with its wonder somewhere in the middle of the year 2017. It is likely that they will keep the range within 8 to 12 lakh.

Hyundai will also launch it model in the early section of the year. It will be a competition to the Maruti’s XA Alpha as the price range that is being selected by Hyundai is 7 to 9 lakhs.

Chevrolet plans to come up with a model for a compact SUV around mid 2014. It will price its SUV for 9 to 12 lakhs.
• Kia Sportage
Kia is entering the Indian market with this SUV that it will launch somewhere in late 2017. The expected price range will be within 9 to lakhs for this SUV. The catchy feature about this model will be the, ‘Tiger nose front’. It will be something new and fresh to see in the Indian market.
